To give you a flavour of what you can expect from Future Housing Leaders 2019, we've created a round-up of the 2018 conference.

Over 250 aspiring future leaders in the social housing sector came together for two days of coaching, covering essential need-to-know content for those looking to take the next step in their careers.

Penny Haslam, award-winning inspirational speaker, visibility coach and consultant guided our delegates through the two days.

We kicked off the conference with the keynote address from the Prime Minister, the Rt Hon Theresa May. She announced that new longer-term partnerships will be opened up to the most ambitious housing associations through a ground-breaking £2 billion initiative.

Then a range of speakers from within and outside of the sector took us through sessions on personal brand, transformational leadership, how to switch from an operational to a strategic mindset and 101s on risk, governance and finance (essential for anyone who's looking to reach the top!).

And of course, our cohort got to practice the art of networking and connect with fellow leaders of tomorrow, and meet the current leaders at the National Housing Summit.

We closed the conference with the BATTLE ROOMS - an interactive group task where delegates have to act as the board of a mythical housing association to work on a challenging scenario, putting what they'd learnt into practice. They were absolutely brilliant, coming up with solutions whilst dealing with an emergency...

We sent home some very happy delegates, ready to put what they've learnt into practice and take their next steps on the path to leadership!

We even ran a Twitter competition to get delegates talking on social media - not that they needed much encouragement!
